Crocodile Reserve, Playa Linda Ixtapa
The natural enviroment is one of the best attractives of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, and the crocodile reserve located in playa Linda Ixtapa is no exception. This is a superb site to watch crocodiles as well as iguanas, turtles, many birds, and other species. Some years ago, there was a man who handfed these crocodiles! He still visits, so if you are lucky, you may even see Tamakún the "Crocodile King".
Birds like the roseate spoonbill, seagull, chachalacas (a kind of mexican hen), herons, parakeet, and many others can be appreciated in this ecological reserve. From May to June, you will see the new born squabs, who are just growing their first feathers.
