Here you will find rich and varied marine ecosystems, as well as coral reefs that you will love to explore. The best thing about this activity is that it is safe to do it with the family, and at the beaches that we recommend, you will find a gentle sea ideal for snorkeling. They are:
Manzanillo Beach. This beach located in Zihuatanejo and is accessible solely by boat. You can ask a professional travel guide to take you from the pier and enjoy this beach. It is just 15 or 20 minutes from the main beach.
Ixtapa Island. Going to Ixtapa Island is very easy; take a bus to Playa Linda Ixtapa, take a boat taxi, and there you will find many places where you can rent your own snorkel gear. Our recommendation is to go to Playa Coral, it is the best for snorkeling. If you want personalized service, ask to a professional guide. They will usually offer packages with meals and transportation included.

Las Gatas Beach. This is a very quiet beach almost all year long. It is located very close to the Zihuatanejo main beach. You can easily arrange a water taxi to transport you to Las Gatas beach, and there, rent snorkel equipment at a very low cost.
