Paseo del pescador in Zihuatanejo Fisherman’s Walkway

Recently remodeled, the fisherman's walkway starts at the Zihuatanejo pier and continues to the limits of Playa La Madera.  It is a delightful path that takes you between the rocks and the sea to provide you with wonderful landscapes among palm trees, murals, cobblestones. and sculptures. It's the perfect way to enjoy the breeze and feel the energy of the ocean.

Have your picture taken in front of the Zihua letters that you will find in the pier. From there, you continue walking to the municipal court where, in the afternoons, there is usually a popular festival, basketball game, or some other event. Continue walking to the artist's square where the colorful murals by local artist Salvador Tinocco will catch your eye

Restaurants, the museum Museo de la Costa Grande, and the beautiful sculptures are part of the experience; the panoramic views where you can contemplate from are unmatched.

If you go in the morning, you will get to see the bustle of the fishermen's market; fisherman come and go with their loads of fresh fish to sell directly to customers eagerly arriving to buy the catch of the day.

In the afternoons and nights, the lighting is wonderful and the stillness of the sea combined with the atmosphere of complete relaxation is a  pleasant surprise for the people strolling the malecon.

More to see and do.
