Whale Watching in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo

Since 2019, various areas of the Costa Grande of Guerrero were officially designated for whale watching due to the increasing activity in recent years. From December to March you can enjoy a tour with certified guides who will take you to the places where they are usually seen, and that ranges from Barra de Potosí to Playa Troncones.

As these powerful whales reach 14 meters in length, it is possible to see them from the beach while they are jumping in the sea, but there is nothing compared to a closer look.

All this is possible thanks to studies carried out by the Whales of Guerrero Research Project, who for some years have been conducting studies on the behavior of these Cetaceans in the Costa Grande area.

Thus, in addition to enjoying the beaches of Ixtapa - Zihuatanejo, we recommend looking for a tour with a certified guide that will take you on an unforgettable whale watching trip.

Live it to believe it.
