Barra de Potosi is a paradise where the river meets the ocean: Located in Petatlan, aproximately 20 minutes away from the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport.
The Barra de Potosí ecosystem is recognized because is home of more of 212 wild bird species, some of them endangered. The biodiversity of Barra de Potosi with aproximately 800 hectares, where 454 hectares are mangrove swamp and on it's littoral has hillrocks known as “Los Morros de Potosí” where more than 10 thousand seasonal birds rest and make nests.
Also 180 species of butterflies has been detected, whales families, dolphins, sea turtles. This rich biodiversity makes us more respectful with the enviroment, We invite you to enjoy and take care of this place which should be a sanctuary.
