Ayotlcalli Turtle Camp
Located in Playa Blanca Beach, this turtle camp promotes the conservation of the Sea Turtles that arrive to Zihuatanejo. They give educational talks in schools and also receive volunteers, from all around the world, coming to learn about the leatherback sea turtle, green sea turtle, and the olive ridley sea turtle, which all spawn on this beach.
Every night a group of volunteers patrol and protect the area to preserve this endangered species. The Ayotlcalli Turtle Camp operates thanks to donations from people, and businesses. They invite people to join a release and learn more about the majestic sea turtles.
